Meet Kenny Wiser (brother-in-law to be)

I had to wait for my mom to send these pictures out before I was allowed to share, but I figured while I was at it I would also include my mom's email about how it all went down, so her it is:

Hello Everyone!!OK - here's Jamie's story from my point of view (mom)

While Jamie was being a camp counselor in California for the summer, a new family moved into our ward. The Wiser family moved in around July.We had been to visit Jamie in CA and she was doing great. She was very happy. After we got home I was feeling a little out of sorts, for some reason, about Jamie staying for an extra session of camp. She could have made some very good money going that extra week, but I didn't feel like she should. I called her and told her my feelings. That night she was studying and decided to pray about my feelings. The next day she began camp activities and got a feeling that I was right. She talked to the owner of the camp and cancelled her contract to stay an extra week. She called me and told me she was feeling the same feelings. Now, I didn't know why she needed to come home for that week before school, but I was glad to have her come home. A couple of weeks before Jamie was due to come home from camp, this new family sang in our ward. They happened to have a returned missionary son that we didn't know about because he was going to the singles ward. He has been home about 2 1/2 months. There were 3 or 4 people plus me thinking, "Jamie has to meet this guy!" (The Wisers are very musical) One more thing, Kenny (the son) wasn't supposed to move here with them, but decided at the last minute that he needed to. The singles ward snagged him right up into their elder's quorum presidency as soon as he got there - that's why noone at church had gotten to meet him. So, Jamie came home for a total of 7 1/2 days!! We had a BBQ with several families in the ward the night she came home. The Wisers were there. I had been talking to him and found out that he would be working this semester so he could return to BYU as a MUSIC MAJOR!! Can you believe that!!! Anyway, his mom ended up introducing him to Jamie. They talked through dinner, then he had to leave. Coincidentally, it was stake conference weekend. Because he was in the EQPres. he was at the Saturday afternoon session of conference for the Priesthood Leaders. By the time we got there for the general session, he was already there. As we walked in he called us over and said we could sit with him and his mom (hmmmm). He came out to eat with a big group of us after the session. What a match they were already talking about all the things they had in common. Jamie about kicked herself when she didn't give him her phone number as we all went our separate ways after the restaurant. On Sunday, he sang in the choir and obviously watched Jamie from the stand the whole time!!! Now, Kenny tells me that as he watched Jamie with me on Saturday night and visited with her, and watched her with her sisters on Sunday, he knew he'd found a girl like none he'd never met before. He asked for her number after conference. On Monday night, they had a date to the singles ward FHE and then went out after. The rest is history!! They spent the next three days together as soon as he got off work. We left to take Jamie to BYU on Friday. They've been on the phone ever since!!! Things kept blossoming over the phone. Kenny has been to the house a couple of times to visit. Kenny took a trip to the temple with his Father shortly after Jamie left. He came back knowing that Jamie was the one for him. Jamie has done her own soul searching and that combined with a little help from a blessing from Uncle Gary, she too knows that Kenny is the one for her. This weekend Kenny's family was going to Ogden. They dropped Kenny off at an old companions place in Provo on Wednesday. Jamie and Kenny and his sister (who's attending BYU) were going to go to Ogden on Friday after classes. Kenny had a little surprise for Jamie when he got there Wednesday night. They had a nice little romantic walk at the Provo Temple ( with a ring). Haven't heard about the rest of the weekend yet.

Until I hear more... we're having a wedding sometime at the end of December!! Love you all Sandy

Here are some fun pictures Kenny's family took for fun at their nana's house!!
Take a look and some more cute photos of the "beaming" couple!

That weekend was a blast for Jamie he went up a day early to surprise her, with a teddy bear (if you kow Jamie- he played ALL the card's right) in one hand wearing a pearl necklace (he had bought for Jamie) And a bouquet of red daisies, he knocked on her door, and surprised the heck out of her!!! ( he paid close attention to all the details he knew she collected teddy bears nad that she loves Daisies- and red is one of the colors for he wedding, not only that but that was all Kenny his idea I just helped pick out the ring.) He's perfect for her!!!

* quick story- Kenny and I went to look for the ring- she wanted a pearl wedding ring... we looked and every jeweler warned us against getting a pearl ring because it is too soft and would damage easily! So we went ahead and picked out the beautiful ring on my previous post but he wanted her to have "her" pearls so he got her a beautiful strand of pearls to have for her very own. Needless to say she loves them.

He gave her the bear, and then they went for a walk in temple square and were so excited to see eachother and were chatting up a storm, and then he asked if he could ask her a question he got down on his knee in the glow of the temple set back behind them with beautiful music playing in the background... okay just kidding about the music- just trying to paint you a visual:) then he proposed to her, she said YES!!! An he began to tell her about the pearl necklace which she had been holding the bear the whole time never realizing it had a "REAL" pearl necklace on it. But she was so exstatic with all the excitment she was too caught up in all the hype to realize it.

So there is the story and a very long blog, but now no one can say they didn't hear about the whole story!!! They are so excited and can't wait to be together forever!! The date is set for Saturday December, 29th in the Mesa, Arizona Temple!

The rest is history!!

REMEMBERING
SEPTEMBER 11TH
In memory of

All those who lost someone, and for those who hearts have also felt the pain!

I read this passage on a blog, I came across and thought it was too cool to pass up. So here it is
They wrote: We must never forget what happened that day and remember that the fight is ongoing. Just because we have not had another attack on US soil doesn't mean the threat is over. This Tuesday, sometime between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, take a moment to remember those who died. Remember the innocent who had no clue disaster was coming and especially those who died to save us from a final attack in Washington D.C.. While I personally did not lose a family member or friend in the attack I have several coworkers and friends who did and whatever your politics are, in this case, really don't matter to me. All that matters is that those who died 6 years ago did not die in vain and that as we remember them this Tuesday we take up a new resolve to continue to protect this country as best we can from future attack.

WE WILL
NEVER FORGET

Today I saw an eagle,

With a teardrop in his eye.

It literally took my breath away,

To see an eagle cry.

I asked him, What's the matter?,

And he told me what he saw.

A cowardly attack was made,

On the towers that once stood tall.

He said everything he stood for,

Had taken a shocking blow.

So he had to take a moment,

To let his own emotions show.

Then he proudly told me,

That our Nation would survive.

That our Liberty and Freedom,

He'd be sure to keep alive.

He said for us not to be afraid,

To stand together, not apart.

For a terrorist has succeeded,

If he puts fear within our hearts.

With memorial videos, songs, photos, and poems. The song that plays in the background is a 9/11 tribute song I found on that website, "Heaven"- DJ Cammy- it is a great tribute song.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy - “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”
