Thanksgiving Family Pictures

RUSSELL FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT
Kip's Family have not had a formal family picture done since before Kip went on his mission in 2001. So we figured hey, Thanksgiving- Perfect let's do it! SO... this is what came of the photo shoot that lasted ALL DAY!! We all took turns taking each others family pictures, and tried the whole, set the timer thing, and run and get in place for the big family picture (that didn't go so well, so we had to call in reinforcements!!) It was interesting. But always funny with his family!! *WARNING: I put ALOT of pictures on here, sorry!- but It's my blog, and I'll do as I please!

When you graduate they decorate your station to match your personality or something you like. The girls thought it would be funny if they decorated it Chritmas themed, because for some reason whenever I am in a good mood and I feel like singing a song, the first one that ever comes to mind is "We wish you a Merry Christmas." They hate it- cuz I have been singing it since I started school- I know, Christmas Carols all year round!! What can I say, I don't mind it Christmas is my favorite holiday???! But my station was cute, and that was a clever idea!!
I'll give them that much!!

We also had a cotton candy machine for my party!! (pink too!!- watermelon, it was really good!- and I don't even like cotton candy??) Who has that?? It felt like I was on that TV show: "My Super Sweet Graduation Party!" And they let me play my Christmas CD's over the loud speaker the whole night!! Thanks Prescott EBS for everything and- especially to my mom, for making it SUPER SPECIAL, and the Grow family for being there for support- AND ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR LETTERS OF SUPPORT!!!
It was so much fun!

RUSSELL UPDATE!!

RUSSELL UPDATE!!

Hey y'all sorry it has been so long for an update. I know we don't need excuses but things are back on track to being normal once again!! For those who don't know Kip and I moved in with the in-laws back in April while trying to sell the house. We moved here for jobs after Kip was laid-off. He found a great job and is doing very well. I transferred down here to go to school, but it wasn't going well. So in September I transferred back up to Prescott and was living with mom, meanwhile Kip was still down in the valley. After months of weekend visits:

I HAVE FINALLY GRADUATED FROM BEAUTY SCHOOL!!

And have since then moved our stuff from up there to a cute little rental home here with my honey!! We are so excited to be under one roof again, and learned alot about eachother and about how strong love is throughout this process. We are hoping things will look up for us in 2009.

(Those wondering- no, we did NOT sell the house. With being on the market for almost a year with nothing we have decided to walk away, I know not the smartest thing to most of you. But it has probably been one of the best things we have done thus far!!)

Kip has been doing GREAT he is almost in his second semester at Chandler-Gilbert Community College underway to receiving an Associates Degree in Administrative Justice with a certificate in Forensic Investigations. He is loving it!!! He is working for the company he had been working for previous to us moving up to Prescott, and they are very busy and doing well, so Kip feels blessed to have a pretty stable job (& work) in such an unstable market.

Anyways so I have been really busy with making up hours at school, and haven't had much time, being at my mom's and now we don't have internet yet? But, I will try to do some more recent updates from the in-laws!! Thanks for checking on us y'all!

Lots of love from the RUSSELL PACK!

PLEASE VOTE!!

I feel prompted more than ever to vote this year!!

I went to this website to check out this video, I received in an email. I thought it was really cool, I read on one of the commentaries from the site that they have had 700,000 people subscribe to the website and register to vote.

Then I thought of the massive number of Catholics, Christians, LDS saints, and those who will stand up for our common values, and morals, united by "OUR FREEDOM OF RELIGION." Gives better meaning the the term, "UNITED WE STAND" put aside our differences and band together in protecting our sacred beliefs and stand strong so we can make our voices heard!!!

As a young Latter-day Saint I see the importance for standing up for what I believe: FAITH & FAMILY I know I am only one person but I believe if we all stand together just as our soldiers stand on the front lines, willing to protect what they believe in we will be strong and we will be heard!!

PLEDGE IN YOUR HEART...

PLEASE VOTE 2008

GENIUS! AIG BAILOUT...

(an email I recieved... great idea! READ ON...)
NOW, HERE’S A SOLUTION!!

I'm against the $85 BILLION bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a "We Deserve It" dividend. To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bona fide U.S. citizens, aged 18+. Our population is about 301 million counting every man, woman and child. So, 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up. Now, divide 200 million, 18+ adults into $85 billion - that equals $425,000.00 each! Yes, my plan is to give that $425,000 to every adult a s a "We Deserve It" dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So, let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Everyone would pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25.5 billion right back to Uncle Sam! It also means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife would have $595,000.00! What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00?
* Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
* Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads.
* Put away money for college – it'll really be there.
* Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
* Buy a new car – create jobs .
* Invest in the market – capital drives growth.
* Pay for your parent's medical insurance – health care improves.
Remember this is for every adult U.S. citizen, 18 and older (including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehmann Brothers and every other company that is cutting back) and of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it! Instead of trickling out a puny $1,000.00 "economic incentive". If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U.S. citizen!
As for AIG – liquidate it.
* Sell off its parts.
* Let American General go back to being American General.
* Sell off the real estate.
* Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
We deserve the money and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea, but can you imagine the coast-to-coast block party?! How do you spell Economic Boom? W-e D-e-s-e-r-v-e I-t d-i-v-i-d-e-n-d! I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion "We Deserve It" dividend more than do the 'geniuses' at AIG or in Washington , D.C. And remember, my plan only really costs $59.5 billion because $25.5 billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. Good idea? I think so.

7 Years Strong... Remembering 9-11-01

September 11th, 2001

(Click here to see a beautiful tribute I made last year.)

Here we are 7 years stronger. Especially on this day, I look back to what feels like yesterday and it reminds me who we are- The U.S.A and no one will ever remove that from us even if they try and eventually fail. We are stronger and will continue to stand strong.
Thanks to the troops still fighting for our freedom!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Missin' Sissy...

I thought this was funny, so I decided to go ahead and post it. My sister lives in Utah and I have been missing her alot. So Brody and I called her one day, she and I were both on facebook and I put her on speaker, so Brody could hold "her" the phone while talked to her. He was so excited to hear her voice and she was talking to him and he went on and on and on...
(If I tried to take the phone, he would say, "Me wanna hol her... my Mae'mie!- MINE")

He was giving Jamie hugs

and kisses!!

We were laughing at him because when she and I would talk he would let out a big sigh, and so we were laughing so then he started cracking up at her too.

Then Jamie was being really funny and was saying, "Peek-a-boo, I see you B-bo!" And then he was thoroughly convinced that Jamie was hiding in the phone and could actually see him.

Carefully examining the phone...

Then she said I see the snake on your shirt, he laughed pointing at the snake on his shirt and was absolutely convinced, then he hit the phone and she would say "ouch!" He would look at me with his eyes wide and mouth dropped, in utter confusion...

So he was looking even for her even harder now, and kept putting up his hands saying, "Mae'mie where are you?" We were rolling on the floor and cracking up. We did this for like an hour or so, I took pictures and sent them to her as we were doing it, and then it made it even more funny. Next time we're going to video it.

We ended up talking, okay well laughing on the phone a couple hours later and then when we said the "bye-bye's" and Jamie wasn't in the phone and wouldn't respond to her "B-Bo?"

He threw the phone and was so upset.

He cried and cried...

Then he got mad because I wanted a picture of him crying. So this is after he cried for like 20 minutes, so I guess I am not the only one who misses sissy?! <;o)* (for J *memories)

"Mae' mie and (K) N'enny" (how Bbo says it.) we all miss you guys!!

What Can I say...

I started this post with a few funny pictures of Brody, when I kept finding pictures that looked vaguely similar to some of Kip, so I had to tweak it around- it was just too funny, so enjoy-
