***National Competition 2008***

Well since I am playing catch up today I recently returned from Empire Beauty School's National Competition 2008 in Hershey, PA. I won at my school to move on and compete at the national level. I competed in Nail Art Design:

Here is my display, we had to have the art done prior and then had an hour to set up our displays. Here is close up of the nail art:

My theme was "I Left my Heart in San Francisco" The sheet music is Mod Podged on the outside of the heart container, and each nail displays a place from San Francisco consisting of: the Skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, The Painted Ladies (houses from Full House), Fisherman's Wharf, A Trolley, Alcatraz, Lombard Street, Giants Stadium, SF Giants logo, SF 49rs logo, and China Town. Each nail displays a hidden heart to go off the theme of where my heart has been left. All of which have insane detail that is had to capture in a photograph. I didn't win, but got some extreme exposure to the world of COSMETOLOGY, and loved it. And many people loved my display and took lots of pictures of it!

We had so much fun- *except the 5 hour plane ride, losing 3 hours daylight savings time, a 2 hour bus ride to Hershey from the Airport, and then back again.* Besides that, we got there to have two full days filled to the brink with classes, exhibitions, the competition, awards ceremony, and a dance party. We were very tired, but had a blast!!

I made my good friend Jaymie- fellow cosmo student come with me. We had so much fun together, keeping each other sane!! It was awesome to share such a fun experience with someone so supportive and with such a great friend.

We were SOOOO Tired!!

THANKS JAYMIE!!!

This was our last night in Hershey, we all went out to eat and then had to be up at 4:30 am to board buses at 5 then off on the grueling journey back, exhausted and utterly pooped and...

BROKE!!

But hey I made it back on $16.00 and got home with a $1.50 to spare!

Hey, we are not exactly sure when we are moving. Anytime between September and December. We are reluctant to buy a home without knowing for sure. Plus the houses we are looking at in PV are at about 160K to 170K and that would be a huge cut for you. As soon as we know for sure I will contact you, maybe your home will still be around. Good luck and we will keep you in our prayers.
