Halloween 2007

This year we decided that we would save the $$$ from buying costumes and candy and spend it going to the Arizona Sundogs (hockey) game instead. We had a blast...

Brody had a shirt on under his sweatshirt that said, "Little Devil" so I made some horns out of pipe cleaners and ran them in through his D-backs cap so he wouldn't know they were there and he never found them... YEAH ME!!

Josh and DeAnna's (& Lexi's) costumes rocked!

Obviously they were Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles Flintstone. We were supposed to join in and be Barney, Betty, and Bam-Bam Rubble, but we have just been way to busy. They did awesome and they made these costumes all on their own. Everything from Josh's stone sun clock/watch to DeAnna's Styrofoam ball necklace earrings and ankle bracelet. They were so cute, and I feel bad we didn't join in, it would have been so much fun!! Next year- I'll hop on the ball a little quicker...

Anyhow, something did come from all their hard work, the three of them won the Adult costume contest at the game, and won a hockey stick with the whole teams autographs all over it. Pretty sweet prize for just making the most of having no cable, and being bored. Man they are awesome! And it has inspired Josh to pick up crafts? At least that is what he told us- from the costumes, cleaning, decorating Lexi's room. Hey who says we need cable for entertainment?

(Can you see them, everyone cheered so loud for them:)

And then to top the night off, the Sundogs played GREAT!! We saw a great fight, caught a free shirt, our section won free hamburgers from in-n-out burger for being the loudest,

and best of all...

THEY WON 6-3!!!!

Just for fun (& for the record) I was a little better last year...

Halloween 2006

Brody was a monkey, and I was a zookeeper (well I guess that is what my scout shirt, turned zookeeper tag means, okay maybe not so ingenious but at least I tried and people thought it was funny...)

...and that one's just a cute picture!

But Josh and DeAnna's homemade costumes kicked our butts again last year, they were PRETTY SWEET!! arrrg...

Well that's all I got for now, we'll see what next year's creative juices may bring. I'll have to start now and until then, hope you all had a fun, safe and a

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Hey Jenni. I love that you chose to go to the hockey game instead of spending money on costumes and candy (the later of which I wasted money on and now have all this candy because we didn't get very many trick-or-treaters). The little devil horns was a brilliant idea. It looks like you guys had an awesome night. Josh and DeAnna's costumes are awesome this year and last year - wow! Maybe they should go into business!!...nah, that takes the fun out of it! Love Ya, Mands
